Outstanding Performance on a Brevet \u2013 Tim O\u2019Callahan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to the club rider who has:<\/p>\n

Demonstrated significant fortitude, courage, or generosity on a brevet ride.
\nDemonstrated physical or mental abilities beyond the usual in the conduct of a brevet ride.<\/p>\n

\n

Jock Wadley Award (Outstanding Rider)<\/strong> \u2013 Bob Macleod<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a club rider who is outstanding in one year or over several years and has:<\/p>\n

Shown interest in the club and has provided support and assistance
\nHelped on rides or helped other riders.<\/p>\n

\n

Beryl Burton Award (Best Female Rider) \u2013 Erin Marchak<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a female club rider who is outstanding in one year or over several years and has:<\/p>\n

Shown interest in the club and has provided support and assistance.
\nHelped on rides or helped other riders.<\/p>\n

\n

Coronation Cup (Most Improved Rider) \u2013 Charles Horslin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a club rider who has at least one previous year riding with the Randonneurs Ontario, and has:<\/p>\n

Shown consistency in appearing and in cycling;
\nDemonstrated improvement either in cumulative mileage ridden from previous season, or in brevet finishing times over the previous season.<\/p>\n

\n

Rookie of the Year \u2013 Joey Schwartz<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a club rider who has:<\/p>\n

Joined the Randonneurs Ontario in the year of the award or who rode their first brevet in the year of the award;
\nShown ability in the year & shown interest in the club and in other club riders.<\/p>\n

\n

Half Wheel Award \u2013 Jerzy Dziadon<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a club rider who has consistently forced the pace of the group during brevet rides.<\/p>\n

\n

Best Fleche Team \u2013 Huron Fl\u00e8che-Air Fiends 421.5\u00a0km<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Cumming
\nCarey Chappelle
\nChris Cossonnet
\nDavid Pearson<\/p>\n

Awarded to the members of the fleche team who record the most kilometres on the club’s fleche ride in the year of the award.<\/p>\n

\n

Organizer of the Year \u2013 David Thompson<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to that person(s) who has:<\/p>\n

Provided support to the club’s riding events in the year of the award or over several years.
\nDemonstrated care for the wellbeing of the club’s riders.
\nConsistently taken on the task of organising and supporting club rides.<\/p>\n

\n

Special Recognition Award \u2013 Guy Quesnel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a club rider who has:<\/p>\n

Completed a cycling event in the year of the award that merits commemoration.
\nMade contributions to the club that merit commemoration.<\/p>\n

\n

Dan Herbert Memorial Award \u2013 Tim O\u2019Callahan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to a member who has in one or more years:<\/p>\n

Benefited the club by mentoring one or more members (generally but not necessarily new).
\nMentoring is to be defined as encouraging, educating and assisting riders to achieve their full potential as bike riders and club members.<\/p>\n

\n

Long Distance Award(s)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Awarded to the rider(s) who has:<\/p>\n

Completed the highest number of Kilometres on:<\/p>\n

Randonneurs Ontario Brevets \u2013 Jerzy Dziadon\u00a0 4800 km
\n<\/strong>All ACP Brevets \u2013 David Thompson 10578 km
\n<\/strong>Randonneurs Ontario Permanent Rides \u2013 Carey Chappelle 3500 km
\n<\/strong>Highest km Female Rider – Gwyneth Mitchell \u2013 800 km<\/strong><\/p>\n
